If there’s one thing I know about CORUS and Global, they turn and run like cowards anytime they get sued.

Rachel Gilmore was fired from Global/CORUS after she was sued.

I lived it about ten years ago working for CORUS. They are scared to fucking death of lousy press despite being in the “lousy press” business.

Sam might be next. Because, money.

The Short Strokes

Last Week, Global reporter Sam Cooper launched a series of stories about Chinese Communist Party interference in Canadian Politics at all levels. Cooper cited a member of CSIS as a “Whistleblower/Leaker” concerned for Canadians.

Cooper’s reporting centered on Liberal MP Han Dong. Cooper alleged Mr. Dong told a Chinese Diplomat at the Chinese Embassy in Toronto to wait to release two Canadian Businessmen from a Chinese prison. Michael Korvig and Michael Spavor spent 800 days in a Chinese prison because The Chinese Communist Party loves to imprison foreign nationals for leverage.

Our own Mark Bourrie wrote a GREAT piece detailing the “leaks” and the lack of evidence to support Mr. Cooper’s claim that a CSIS agent caught Mr. Dong on a phone call with the Chinese Embassy.

Since then, serious questions of Cooper’s methodology have started growing, including vetting Canada’s national security information through a conspiracy theorist named “John.”

I don’t know Sam Cooper, but I have no material reason to question his reporting because Global and CORUS run all their “content” through legal before they publish. However, I find it odd that the only researcher, Global, and Mr. Cooper admit to using it to defame Mr. Hong when crushing faith in our institutions, is an antitrans activist/conspiracy theorist with a TIMELINE full of anti-government, anti-inclusive hate-mongering.

It seems you’d want a better Straw man than “John, the anti-trans, anti-government, anti-freedom of expression dude” if you’re going to accuse an MP of working with the Chinese Communist Party to destroy our elections and institutions.

“JOHN” Shares A LOT of propaganda and disinformation from bullshit Data mining outlets like True North (Pure data mining through content for petition emails) which removes credibility whatsoever. I’d venture a guess that “JOHN” isn’t honest, and if he is, he’s not a professional researcher who’s not interested in pushing narratives. His TL is a sewer of extreme examples, out of context, and shares work from bullshit farms like True North or Post Media.

Mr. Dong’s lawsuit comes with something called “Discovery.” discovery is where everyone shows their cards based on questions the other side has. “John,” along with these magical CSIS agents, will have to come up with rock-solid, unbiased, legitimate reasons for putting Democracy at risk in Canada.

So, it looks like “John the researcher” is in for a wild ride with Sam Cooper, Global, and Corus Entertainment, whose stock price is in the SHITTER.

I don’t care who wins. We all lost. Global, a right-leaning CSIS agent who hates Trudeau, “John,” and our political institutions ensured that.

At this point, I’m just here for the show, wondering who CORUS plans to fire next for something they commissioned.

We are governed and informed by the valueless. And they work together. Always remember that.
