Easily the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, btw. The sauce is ‘the balls’ but I’m a texture guy and there’s something unnatural about The McRib.
It’s unnerving.
McDonald’s has set a return date for the McRib.The limited-time offering is returning to menus nationwide on November 1, McDonald’s announced Thursday. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the McRib, which was a dud on its debut but has bounced back to become a fan-favorite menu item. The sandwich is a boneless pork patty, shaped like a rack of ribs and smothered in barbecue sauce then placed on a homestyle bun. Price varies by location.
When you get it, it’s gonna look like this, but whatever, you put enough sauce in that thing and you’re not gonna give a shit when you’re doing a 2 am wasted pitstop at a Rotten Ronnies drive-thru.
But this bothers me. It kinda looks like a brick of breakfast sausages which are also hit and miss where breakfast is concerned. I really have an issue with ground meat combos. I also have a problem eating food that’s massed produced. When I say problem it’s more of an aversion to knowing you’re likely to get some lips and assholes when you’re dealing with liquified meat.
These bad boys come in boxes and each ‘rib’ is identical and that’s your first clue that this really isn’t a McRib.
It’s fucking delicious loaded with onions and pickles slathered in sauce, though. Maybe they’ve perfected the liquification process and I should give it a go. It’s still a tough sell though, cuz this.
The gif everyone uses to tell someone they are shit? Liquified pork. It’s one form and a good freeze away from being a limited-time special at McDicks.
Meh. Maybe I’m good.
