NFL Best Bets For Week 1

Sep 9, 2023

Hello everyone, I know I usually do these for the CFL, but of course, I had to do these for the NFL as well. Unlike the CFL, these won’t be for every game because I’m not that big of a degenerate gambler. So let’s get started, shall we?

To clarify these are three-game parlays on whatever sportsbook I have money on. This week FanDuel.

The first game is the Washington Commanders hosting a team that has a room full of guys who are killers, who took either the bus or drove to work, yes folks I’m talking the Arizona Cardinals. One side has a doozy of a head coach, a lacklustre roster and is looking to suck. The team on the other side of the field has a roster with some talent, new ownership and a defence that on paper should be tough to play against. For this game I like the Under of 38.5 points, this game screams a score of 21-6, with a good defence going up against Joshua Dobbs and Sam Howell I don’t think puts up more than 30 points, take with this information what you will. PS I’m on the Commanders for my Survival pick of the week.

Next, we head to the Mile High City as the Denver Broncos host the Las Vegas Raiders, Here we have a divisional rivalry where the eventual battle for third place is going to be taking place as Kansas City and LA will be 1 and 2. But with this game, I’m going to go with a bet that I have liked for a while and a bet that is quite spicy. That being Las Vegas at +4.5 on the spread. I think Vegas will surprise people in week 1 before getting torched in Buffalo next Sunday. Also, side note, Vegas hasn’t lost to Denver since Week 17 of the 2019 season, making for 6 straight Raider wins and let’s make it 7th heaven for the Sin City Football team. Please enjoy this clip from my latest YWC Football Talk where Brianna Pirre and I both agree on Las Vegas.

The last game to complete the three-game parlay is an underdog team vs. a team I don’t believe in yet even though the hype has been there all offseason. Another divisional rivalry and a historic one too. Chicago vs. Green Bay and while Aaron Rodgers is gone, Matt LaFleur knows how to beat Justin Fields, who hasn’t beaten Green Bay in his career and the Bears haven’t beaten the Packers since 2018 the same year the Bears went 12-4. This Bears team isn’t a 12-4 team and they will be starting the year 0-1, give me the cheeseheads on the Moneyline to win this game.

The 3-team parlay for this goes at +577 meaning if you bet $100 you would win $577. Happy betting and please play responsibly.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
