For the first time since 2015, NFL bust Trent Richardson was trending on Twitter. If you’re a football fan of any kind, you know who Trent Richardson is, and was.

Trent Richardson was a College stud. He ran the rock at Alabama University, which is known for their running prowess. In his senior season he ran the ball 283 times for 1,679 and 21 rushing touchdowns.

He went to the NFL and become the butt of many jokes. In three seasons Richardson accumulated 1,469 yards and 14 touchdowns on 426 carries. What’s crazy is he actually had a decent rookie season. He ran the ball 267 times for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns, but was then traded from Cleveland and fell off the face of the planet.

Richardson quickly became an American meme. Across social, media photos & videos began to emerge of him CLEARLY missing the holes his offensive line had created for him with  captions with regards to him being blind.

Now Richardson is getting a second chance at pro-football in the Alliance of American Football Leagues, or the AAF. And as the internet does, those memes have been reborn.

With that being said; today was Richardson’s day. Although the failed NFL running back didn’t quite look like the Heisman finalist he was in College, he did finish his first game with two rushing touchdowns.
