I’m guessing this was an unofficial payment, but nevertheless, John Larroquette recently confirmed a long-standing rumor that he was paid to narrate “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” prologue in marijuana.
“Totally true,” Larroquette said. “He gave me some marijuana or a matchbox or whatever you called it in those days. I walked out of the [recording] studio and patted him on the back side and said, “Good luck to you!”
It’s good work if you can get it and I think it’s safe to say that the director got his money’s worth from John. Just listen to his voice set the tone for one of the scariest movies ever recorded at the time. It still gives me chills.
Who says drugs don’t pay? John Larroquet is a legendary actor, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an entire movie franchise and it all started with a little bit of weed changing hands.
BUT have you ever seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on WEED?
