Office Coffee 101: You’re Probably Drinking Your Co Workers Poop

Sep 27, 2017

Source  –  You may want to think twice about making that next cup of tea or coffee.

Up to 90 percent of mugs in office kitchens are coated in germs, research has shown, and 20 percent of those cups actually carry fecal matter.

According to University of Arizona professor of environmental microbiology Dr. Charles Gerba, who carried out the 1997 study, rarely changed communal kitchen sponges are the key culprit in spreading bacteria.

“Coliform bacteria were present on 20 percent of the coffee cups before and 100 percent of the coffee cups after wiping with a dishcloth or sponge,” Gerba writes. “No E. coli was found on cups before wiping. However, 20 percent of coffee cups were positive for E. coli after wiping.

Wash your fucking hands after you take a shit.  Seriously.  Are you in that much of a hurry to get back to your shitty job and the guy next to you complaining about how much he hates life?

Do you really save that much time NOT washing your hands?  Poop is poop, and trace amounts can make you as violently ill as a two-pound growler so remember that the next time you decide to put your hands in your ass and head to the office kitchen for a coffee.

Unless of course, you hate everyone there and its all part of some salmonella masterplan to get back at people for making your life miserable.  Shit away.
