Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a fourth season by Hulu.

Now that the WGA strike is over, the writers room is expected to reconvene shortly.

The season three premiere of Murders had the most viewers of any scripted Hulu Original in 2023. Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd guest starred in the season that followed Charles, Oliver and Mabel (Steve Martin, Martin Short & Selena Gomez) investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show. – Per Deadline

In news that should come as a surprise to no one, one of the best shows on television has been finally, formally renewed.

I won’t sit here and say that that this was a long time coming or long overdue because the truth of the matter is, I was incredibly late to “Only Murders”. After my wife and I finished binge watching “Fresh Off The Boat” in the early summer (decent old school style sitcom) we went looking for our next show and thought we’d give “Murders” a shot. It turns out it’s not only one of the best shows airing right now, it’s quickly rising in the ranks of “all time comedies” for me.

It’s quirky, unique and brilliantly acted and cast. I love the murder mystery aspect of the show and how it keeps you guessing. Also, in a world where everything is immediately consumed and binged watched there is something fun and refreshing about having to wait a week to learn more about the case. Tuesday’s have become “Only Murders” day in our house and as soon as the kids are to bed we watch with anticipation.

While I have found season 3 to be my least favorite of the all the seasons thus far, there is something about season 3 that the other seasons don’t have and that is Steve Martin singing “Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?”
