Ontario Government Allowing Fans For Tonight’s Leafs/Habs Game 7

Well, there you go.

I’d be amazed if Doug doesn’t find his way into the game.

Only fully vaxxed front line workers will be allowed into the game and NO, I have no idea how to get tickets if you are a fully vaxxed doctor/nurse with the night off.  Sorry.  The Leafs probably handed them out to their health care partners to give out to their front line workers/employees.

This announcement makes me happy.  It says the door is starting to open to a better time and we’re celebrating by hosting 550 deserving front line workers for free.  It’s very un-MLSE so it’s extra cool.

EVERYONE will need to be fully vaccinated, remain social distant, wear a mask and sit in designated areas, but who cares.  It’s a great way to tip our caps to men and women who’ve sacrificed so much while we’ve been huge assholes.  We don’t deserve to go, but they do.

No Idea if beer will still be $200 a pint either but everyone in attendance will get a free Leaf jersey.

The fact we’re cracking open the sports bubble means nothing but good things for Ontarians.  It says we can start thinking about concerts and parties.  We can think about watching the Blue Jays play in the Rogers Center after having the veal piccata at The Kit Kat Club.

I’m not one to jinx things but, Jesus.  It’s entire possibly YOU might be watching the Leafs/Jets, live, by this time next week depending on where we trend.  Today, we are under 1000 infections for the first time in months and the positivity rate is almost at the point where we can start dreaming a little.
