If you watched Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s performance press conference at Pearson Airport in Toronto the other day, you now know Canada has been using the ‘honor system’ to screen world travelers during the COVID19 pandemic.

Canada, to this point,  has only asked travelers to ‘tell the truth’ when coming into the country asking them to fill out a pamphlet.  No test or background checks.  A Pamphlet.  Testing has been 100% voluntary to this point.

According to Ford’s numbers, Since the start of the Pandemic over 2 million travelers have landed at Pearson airport from every country in the world.  If you do some simple math, 50,000 (2.6% infection rate per 30,000/week) infected travelers have made their way into Canada by way of Pearson Airport in the last 12 months.  

And that’s on the light side.  Those numbers are based on current pandemic travel numbers which is 10% of pre-pandemic air travel so the actual number is (hypothetically) much higher.

I’ve struggled with the Idea of political shit posting about the extreme failure at all levels of government.  However, the notion that Canadians have to stay at home and our businesses go bankrupt while the federal government allowed over 50,000 sicko’s into the country, blows my fucking mind.  How about the ones who weren’t honest?  What about them?  Where did they go and what did they shed and how many Canadians did they kill?

I had a friend come back from overseas in November who said he spent 30 seconds at customs and the officer asked him 2 covid related questions.  Two.

“Do you have any symptoms related to COVID19” and “Were you with anyone who displayed symptoms of Covid19”?

That’s it.  No pre-flight test results.  No rapid testing after he landed.  Just two braindead questions, a stamp, and a merry ‘Welcome Home’.

Even he was shocked.

The irony in locking Canadians in their homes while allowing unchecked international travelers to pour into our country is astounding.  Canadians are being punished for doing our part while our Government(s) is encouraging a steady stream of disease to freely flow into our country from around the world.

It’s like weatherproofing your house while leaving the back door open all winter, then wondering why it’s cold and it’s a fucking JOKE.

We’re locked down trying to battle through everyday life while John from England gets to come here if he ‘promises’ to tell the truth?  Give me a fucking break.

Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford are as useless as tits on a bike when it comes to the actual work of keeping Canadian’s safe.  They deliver pre-school/tough guy appearances to manage their political reputations while we are going broke and dying.

They don’t really care about you or me.  The only thing Ford and Trudeau care about is making it look like they care.  That’s it, that’s all.

• We’re the only country in the developed world vaccinating at a third world rate.
• Canada is Vaccinating 1.63 people per 100k a week since the vaccinations began.  We have no vaccines scheduled for delivery this week and 20% of our total order is being shipped next week because Trudeau was late to the table in acquiring vaccines
• When Countries like Israel and the United States paid dearly to be first in line to acquire vaccines, Trudeau and Ford dicked around with language and politics while sick people poured into Canada through airports around the country (which is still happening) prolonging our misery.
• Provincially,  we are out of vaccines and have zero plan to get vaccines into the arms of Ontarian’s.
• Entire nursing homes in Ontario have been wiped out with 80% of our deaths coming from LTC homes which look more like war zones than nursing homes

If you’re looking for someone to blame for where we are, we can start stuffing Trudeau AND Doug Ford into a locker anytime, now.  They are responsible for the 6000 deaths in this province and by-way of virtue signaling, instead of working on real solutions to keep us all safe.

Doug is killing seniors at a record pace, ignoring their cries for help from their urine-soaked mattresses in long term care homes.

Justin is killing the rest of us by refusing to do the right thing out of concern for his political reputation and millions of sick people are still being allowed to come on in while we’re stuck at home, and all the while our borders have been wide open to diseased assholes from anywhere.

Seems silly to me, but what do I know.  I haven’t left my house in over a month.
