Ontario Woman SHOCKED When Fake Apple Air Pod’s Catch Fire After Cheaping Out On Her Kids This Christmas

And Canadian Tire has some splainin’ to do.
CTV: An Ontario woman has issued a warning to consumers after ear buds she purchased at Canadian Tire caught fire on Christmas Day.
Mom-of-two Nicole Tarkovits bought a pair of wireless ear buds, similar to the much coveted and expensive Apple AirPods, from Canadian Tire in Cambridge, Ont., as Christmas gifts for her children.
She said her daughter’s pair caught fire after “half an hour” while charging for the first time.
If you read this and thought ‘That’s terrible! Can you imagine if her poor daughter was injured or their house burned down and their entire family died’, I agree with you.
But read on. Then let’s talk about being cheap.
The box for the buds bought at Canadian Tire is labelled “i7S TWS,” with no name. According to Tarkovits there is no information on where the product is manufactured other than “Made in China.”
She has not had the chance to return the products to Canadian Tire yet, but she would like a refund. The buds were bought for $20 each.
Here’s a pro tip. If you buy $400 headphones for $20 with a serial number with the brand name ‘Made In China”, she doesn’t deserve a refund. She almost killed her entire family with this dangerous, cheapass Christmas present and should be incredibly ashamed of herself (unless she’s poor and was doing her best with what she had).
I seriously spit out my coffee (decaf…it’s late) reading she hadn’t gotten her ‘refund yet’. Like that’s what’s REALLY important here. I guess we already know what’s important to her after bringing these death traps into the house (unless she’s broke then it’s a crying shame and I hope they save for a non-flammable pair or Canadian Tire Pays up for trying to kill her kids).
This is one of those gifts kids get sooooooo excited to open until they see it and the stark realization this gift is the piece-of-shit version of the gift you actually really wanted. The kids were probably overjoyed to watch their new electronics burn. Who knows, maybe they took dad’s lighter to the cord just to shove it right back into mom’s court as a form of silent protest.
Brutal. Get it together MOM.
