Took a first industrial job in 1994 which brought Colin into the industrial tool world where he's managed to thrive ever since. Founded CanTorque in 2000 after getting fired and starting fresh. Now he races cars, runs a business, and talks shop.
Avid racer both as a pilot, crew member and commentator, and business owner…
When CanTorque founder Colin Livingston (CL) was growing up, he was fascinated by industry whether it was one of Edmonton’s refineries or seeing the draglines at work in the mines near his hometown of Stony Plain.
He always wanted to be “inside the ropes” to learn how everything worked. This curiosity served him well as the driving force behind CanTorque.
CL is also an avid racer both as a pilot, crew member and commentator. He competes across North America in karting, works as Alex Tagliani’s spotter in the NASCAR Pinty’s series and is the voice of the CanTorque Race Report with Jason Gregor on TSN 1260 in Edmonton.
Talkin’ Torque will blend CL’s love of business and racing with lots of behind-the-scenes stories. Fun random stat: Army Kris was one of CL’s drill instructors during basic training at CFB Shilo in 1993
