Pierre Poilievre Kicking Out Caryma Sa’d Was Weak Leadership

Pierre Poilievre Did What Every Good Leader Wouldn’t Do… He Hid

If you frequent Crier Media, you’re very aware of who Caryma is. (Fun fact, I’ve been bumped from the Dean Blundell Show three times for Caryma). However, Caryma was in attendance at Pierre Poilievre’s event on Thursday; Pierre and his team showed weak leadership when Caryma was asked to leave before anything started.

Admittedly, I don’t get Caryma’s schtick. When the Crier team attended the Niagara IceWine Festival, Caryma was late because she had to swing by a protest. While I was enjoying gourmet turkey sausage at Wayne Gretzky’s 99 Estates, Caryma’s cameraman was getting kicked in the nuts. I feel like I had a better day. – I don’t get Caryma because I don’t pay attention to anything political. I spend my free time watching the NFL Combine and scrolling dog videos on TikTok.

Regardless, I don’t have to pay attention to politics to understand weak leadership. I have no idea why Caryma being at the event was bad politically for Pierre, but I do know that my takeaway was; there’s a significant difference between strong and weak leadership.

When Things Get Tough, Strong Leaders Don’t Hide

It goes without saying that we are in uncertain times. No one really knows what’s going to happen and that can be a scary reality for leaders to face. But when times get tough and the future is unknown, it’s important for leaders to stay strong and make sure the people they manage and lead don’t give in to fear and panic.

Leaders must be resilient and courageous even in the face of adversity. They must be willing to rise to the challenge of the unknown and take clear and decisive action to move the organization forward. Strong leaders don’t hide when things get tough, they step up and show courage.

Leaders must provide a positive outlook for their employees during tough times. It’s not about sugar-coating the situation but rather exercising tact and understanding so that employees remain engaged and motivated. Leaders can use this as an opportunity to foster a sense of community within their organization and by collectively working together, they are able to continue to make progress.

Leaders must also remain transparent throughout the entire process. Communication is key during tough times and leaders must be willing to discuss their plans and strategies with their employees. This will help to foster trust and loyalty between leaders and their teams and help build a sense of unity and togetherness.

Strong leaders must remain focused and never lose sight of the ultimate goal. It’s important to have a long-term plan in place that is designed to weather any storm and that can enable the organization to succeed in the long run. Strong leaders should stay the course and not allow emotions or doubt to take hold and cause them to forget the true purpose of their organization.

When things get tough, strong leaders stand up take charge. They remain resilient, courageous and focused on the long-term goals. They provide a positive outlook and remain transparent with communication. They don’t hide, they show strength and lead the way.

Pierre Isn’t The Only Politician To Show Weak Leadership

I want to make it clear, this isn’t a hit piece on Pierre. I couldn’t tell you anything about his policies. My schtick is to look at stories and find the universal learning lesson. We’ve all been disappointed by politicians’ weak leadership. Justin Trudeau laughed at and mocked Indigenous protesters at a rally. Justin interfered in the legal system to help a corporation. Doug Ford underspent on healthcare during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic while healthcare workers were collapsing from exhaustion. Doug also said I couldn’t go up to my cottage for the weekend, but he made the trip to his cottage the same weekend.

There’s a trend of weak political leadership in Canada. Here’s to hoping citizens don’t cower in the face of controversy.
