Last night in Duncan, British Columbia, the leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, held a “Bring it Home” rally.
Specifically here:
Mr. Shaw “X’d” about his interview with Poilievre, saying there were over 1500 people expected to attend.
So you gonna go back and check those crowd numbers or what?

Pierre Poilievre posted about his HUGE rally this morning:
In the “NDP stronghold” of Duncan, BC, thousands of Common Sense Canadians rallied to axe the tax.

Wow! THOUSANDS of Common Sense Canadians! In a “NDP Stronghold” even!
Yeah…about that.
As you saw above, Poilievre said his MAGA, err, ‘Bring It Home’ rally was held in the Mellor Hall at the Cowichan Exhibition Park.
Cowichan Exhibition Park
From the website:
“This multi-purpose hall holds up to 1,477 guests. The hall comes complete with a commercial kitchen, sound system, 14′ foot roll up door for easy loading, ample tables and chairs and beautiful natural light. Parking is plentiful and the building is wheelchair accessible.”
That’s right. Mellor Hall can hold up to 1,477 guests. That would be standing room only.
Pierre had his stage in what looked like the middle of the room with a bunch of people sitting in chairs around him.
So, never mind that the number wasn’t THOUSANDS. It doesn’t look like Poilievre even broke 1000.
Dan K. (@VELOVERITAS) posted this:
“1000s of people?” I don’t think so.
Under a thousand in that room.
Compensating for your personal shortcomings, Pierre Poilievre? You remind me of Sean Spicer and Donald J. Trump. #MAGAMorons pic.twitter.com/6wPhpVknog

That sounds about right, eh?

How much would you like to bet that there was no NDP supporter in this crowd? Or at least very few. Poilievre is known for exaggerating about the size of the crowds he attracts and for busing his fake audiences in. Notice how he doesn’t say 1000’s of NDP voters? Right? He’s going around to LPC/NDP STRONGHOLDS trying to make it sound like THOUSANDS of their supporters are flocking to his ‘Bring It Home’ rallies.
Hey, Canadian Media, show us that you are capable of calling Pierre Poilievre on something. ANYTHING.
If you want to start with something super easy start calling PP out for exaggerating the size of his BIGLY YUGE … crowds.
OK? Thanks.
UPDATE: Canadian media call Poilievre out? Am I nuts?
This pic from a @PierrePoilievre rally in Duncan BC last night. Riding is held by #NDPer @AMacGregor4CML . Given current state of play, #CPC has a very decent chance to knock off four NDP-held ridings here. Maybe five. Most of the Island is a pure Blue-Orange battle. #cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/Hz3pEBtxdl

Ok, well this is an exterior pic of the building:
So I replied with this:
There are 10 windows along each side of the building. PP's stage looks to be in the middle at 5. Thanks to this w/a shot we can see the crowd goes back to about 8.
Max capacity is 14,77. Now add in chairs and PP's stage. Certainly not the THOUSANDS that Pierre claimed.
