Pierre Poilievre Prioritized Personal Power and Party over Country

Jason Pugh May 31, 2023

According to Fred DeLorey, 2021 Conservative Campaign Director, Con MPs were told about foreign interference and just shrugged it off.

So the current leader of His Majesty’s LOYAL Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, knew about foreign interference in 2021, but he and other CPC MPs didn’t care. There was something MUCH more important to PP at the time!

That was taking down the CPC’s then-current leader, Erin O’Toole, and then getting a flash mob of incels to elect him as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Heck, he even admitted recently that he and the CPC, under former PM and owner of the lap he sat in, Stephen Harper, knew of foreign interference but didn’t “have” to do anything about it because China wasn’t trying to help the Cons!

BREAKING: Poilievre defends doing NOTHING about foreign interference b/c China wasn’t helping Cons!

So, I say again:

Of course, yesterday was just another shit-show from the Cons during Question Period featuring them screaming about foreign interference and calling the ‘special rapporteur’ a ‘fake job.’

Again, Poilievre was defending his not getting his security clearance and intel briefings. Because, of course, if he knew the facts, he wouldn’t legally be able to continue to lie.

Recently Poilievre said that, as a former minister, he *thinks* he has the security clearance required to view foreign interference and other documents on which former Governor General Johnston based his decision.

Well, about that:

(But Skippy said he *thinks* he still has clearance. Maybe that’s something the leader of the opposition should, you know, be up to date on maybe? Just…just throwing that out there.)

So foreign interference wasn’t significant back when he was Minister for Democratic Institutions.

Pierre Poilievre kept this on the back burner while leading the war on O’Toole!

He doesn’t give a damn about foreign interference. He only wants to use this to tear down the government and hold an election ASAP before anything is done to prevent further interference in the next election.

Don’t forget that Robert Fife reported on this story, throwing “a dead cat on the table” on the same day the Emergencies Act Inquiry report came out:

But the story had been in the news for months at that point:

So Pierre finally took it off the back burner when it would help him politically. Suddenly, conveniently, it became Canada’s most significant issue, according to Poilievre.

Hey, Pierre Poilievre, fine! If you want to remain in the dark and not get the intel briefings to continue spreading lies, how about this?

Why don’t you meet us halfway?

Show Canada that you take your job seriously and get your gods damned security clearance.
