Pierre Poilievre’s Big Lie

Wernick’s warning is now likely just a matter of WHEN.

You remember back in 2019 when the Clerk of the Privy Council, Michael Wernick, called for the political heat to be lowered.

‘I’m deeply concerned about my country right now and its politics,’ Michael Wernick says

“I think it’s totally unacceptable that a member of the Parliament of Canada would incite people to drive trucks over people after what happened in Toronto last summer. Totally unacceptable. And I hope you, as parliamentarians, are going to condemn that,” Wernick said.

This was after the 2019 ‘United We Roll’ rally where Conservative Senator David Tkachuk encouraged protesters to “Roll over every Liberal left in the country.”

What was ‘United We Roll’ about? It was a “pro-pipeline” rally. (I had to look that up as I could NOT remember for the life of me what their issue was.)

I would also like to remind everyone that later that same year, this happened:

A pro-pipeline convoy/rally. Well, at least that’s what they SAID it was. It was just the first “F*CK TRUDEAU” rally. In the lead-up to that rally, Yellow Vesters posted about hanging the PM on Facebook groups.

Something that caught my eye, and I started posting about it on Twitter:

So this was pre-covid. Pre “FREEEEEEDOOOOOM” convoy. More importantly, this was before Pierre Poilievre started spreading his big lie.

Even the leaker from CSIS wrote in their op-ed that the attempted interference by Beijing did NOT change the outcome of the 2019 & 2021 elections.

That didn’t stop Pierre Poilievre from claiming, despite what the very source he’s citing said, that “… Beijing helped the Liberal Party win in multiple elections.”

How Trumpian of him.

Last night former Liberal MP Han Dong left the party after Global published a story citing two unnamed national security sources. According to those sources, Dong advised a senior Chinese diplomat that Beijing should hold off on releasing the “two Michaels,” Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, because removing them would help the Conservatives.

How would their release help the Conservatives? That doesn’t make sense.

Today CPC Convoy Party of Canada MPs pulled a stunt by asking the same question repeatedly. They wanted Liberal MPs to respond to their question of “WHEN DID THE PM KNOW???” – about the report of Dong’s alleged actions.

If the Liberals took the Conservatives’ bait, Poilievre and his MPs would just RUN. They’d act as if the accusations against Mr. Dong had been confirmed 100% true and move forward. See.

I caught and posted this clip of CPC MP Michael Cooper repeating the question and saying it “somehow” would help the Cons. Somehow! Almost like it doesn’t even make sense to the Cons themselves, eh?

“Somehow,” Mr. Cooper? Well, how? HOW would it have helped the Conservatives?

Cons don’t care about proof. As everyone always says in politics, perception is reality.

So perception is all Pierre Poilievre cares about when it comes to attacking his political enemies. Facts and reality be damned. Those are pesky things he knows his base doesn’t want to hear.

He wants to attack those around Trudeau. People like Telford, Dong, and who knows who else they’ll attack based on more “leaks” given to Senator wannabe Bobby Fife.

They want to make the Prime Minister a liability and will say and ( as Pierre said about election interference) LIE about any and everything.

In 2019 the Senator “joked” about folks at that rally killing Liberals. That, again, was just a pro-pipeline rally.

Now Pierre Poilievre is lying about our elections being stolen. That they’ve ALREADY been stolen, he is KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY doing so.

So what message does that send to his base? That they have to fight for democracy before it gets “stolen” again?

I’ll repeat it: Wernick’s warning is only a matter of WHEN, thanks to the lies being told by Pierre Poilievre.

It shows that when it comes to Pierre Poilievre, he doesn’t care who gets HURT when it comes to his HOPES to get into the PMO.
