About the Episode

For episode 75, we had the hono rof welcoming Dr. Richard Gallagher to the show. Dr. Gallagher is a board certified psychiatrist, a professor at New York Medical (Psychiatry), a psychoanalyst (faculty) at Columbia Univeristy, and the author of Demonic Foes: My Twenty-Five Years as a Psychiatrist Investigating Possessions, Diabolic Attacks, and the Paranormal. Dr. Gallagher is the world’s foremost scientific expert on the subject of diabolic attacks.

In our talk we discuss what excactly is a diabolic attack, how an exorcism is performed, why it is important to look at these attacks from a scientific based approach, why it is okay that there are some things that science can’t explain, the sensationalism of hollywood when it comes to demonic pocessions, his relationship with “Father Jacques”, and what the signs are when it comes to determining if a person is possessed.
