About the Episode

It’s Season 4 of the Scouting the Refs podcast!  We’re on the cusp of a new NHL season, which means new referees and linesmen, and new rules for 2022-23. We also look back at those who’ve retired and the loss of former NHL linesman Dan Schachte.  Three women work OHL preseason games; is this the year we see a woman officiate in the NHL?  Todd and Josh also look at ways to celebrate the officials… including a possible mascot.
