I think it’s time we started telling the truth about Fascism. Fascists have always talked about fighting for freedom. But that’s always been their largest lie. Their idea of freedom is having maximum power over all public & private enterprise – and that means all state or provincial government, all local government is neutralized and neutered – no real power except to carry out orders for the central authority. In Canada’s that’s Ottawa. In the US that’s Washington. Red Blue State stuff becomes the stuff of history. State power and Provincial power go into dumpsters labelled O for Oxymoron. All authority over media is in the hands of Washington or Ottawa. Freedom of Speech Freedom of Expression? Ancient history. Fascism wants to control all relationships between all people and so that includes all businesses all schools, community clubs, everything that involves people. And that also includes crushing freedom of religion and in America, the freedom to bear arms. And it also includes marriage. What does Fascism think of Gay Marriage? Common Law marriage? Interracial Marriage? What does Fascism think of the Bill of Rights or the Charter of Rights. They go into the same dumpster with everything else. Know what else goes into the dumpster? Our ancient freedom to access the Internet. The Fascist idea of freedom is giving themselves the authority to asphyxiate your freedom. None of this is comfortable. But that doesn’t make it untrue.
