This is Charles Adler telling the truth, the uncomfortable truth. Are you Charles? Are you are you’re gay, or straight? Are you ashamed of being straight? Sounds like you maybe, maybe you should switch teams, then you’d really be politically correct. That’s just one of many homophobic messages that came at me this week because I wasn’t happy with the crazy t shirt that turned the premier of Alberta and the opposition leader of this country who claims he wants to be the prime minister into human billboards for homophobia. Some people even some media professionals, were asking the question this week, what’s wrong with the idea of straight pride, which is what that T shirt talks about straight pride. Nothing wrong with that message. Chuck. What’s wrong with it is it’s phony, but it’s beyond that. It only exists to mock gay pride. Mocking Gay Pride is only about denying that people who are LGBTQ have been facing discrimination for ever question, have straight people been denied work? Has straight people been denied housing, have straight people been thrown off the rooftops in Iran?

Have straight people been shunned by their own fathers for being too straight? Straight pride is not about being straight. Straight pride is straight homophobia. It’s about mocking people who are not straight. That’s what it’s about. mocking them losing them hating them. It’s not about a stupid t shirt. It’s about a hateful slogan. So my answer to those people who are asking me whether I’m ashamed of being straight, maybe I’m in the in the closet. I had to come out. By the way, has anyone ever stayed in a closet? For being too straight? Has anybody heed who they were? Because of who they were?

Like, I don’t want to hide the truth from you because we call this segment the uncomfortable truth and it is uncomfortable. If you’re phobic. If you hate gay men. Go ahead. Think of me as one. If you hate Muslims, think of me as Muslim. If you hate Trudeau, think of me the way you do the PM. You hate women. Think of me as a woman. I play for a team. Alright. I play for the human team. And I support human rights. And if you think of that is just too liberal. Well go ahead and think of me as your liberal. That’s the truth. For homophobes. It’s the uncomfortable truth. But that doesn’t make it untrue.
