About the Episode

For Spear Talk 72, we welcomed horror movie stalwart Thom Matthews to the show! Thom is known for his roles of ‘Freddy” in The Return of the Living Dead, “Tommy Jarvis” in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, and “Joey” in Return of the Living Dead II. Thom is also a martial artist and owns a sucessful construction business. This episode is part of our Halloween 2021 month long celebration!

In our discussion, we talked about the legacy of his horror career from fighting Jason to zombies, his martial arts training, his working relationship with famed director Albert Pyun on such classics as Nemesis and Heatseeker, and the remodeling of Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne’s house during the filming of their reality TV show!
