DTTB Ep.55: 15-year-old vocalist from ‘Complicit’ absolutely shreds a rock version of “Blinding Lights”

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t think that I’d play Blinding Lights on DTTB. But pushing emerging talent and artists is one of the mandates that I set out in the beginning. Andrew Parmelee has been on a few episodes so far, including the first episode of the series, and a recent episode with his band Cevilain. They just released a single with Adam Gontier of Saint Asonia (former Three Days Grace singer) that was featured in Episode 53, a few weeks ago.
Parms’ side project Complicit features some of his music students collaborating on rock versions of Top 40 songs. The results are great! The episode features a 15-year-old Ella Wile, who just crushes the vocals on Blinding Lights.
Every now and then, young musicians go viral for a great performance. Maybe it’s about hitting those sweet algorithms at the right time, if it’s about raw talent then this video should rack up some views. The music video will be featured at the end of this week’s podcast

The goal of my podcast is to provide people who are passionate about rock with a new and innovative connection to the Canadian Music Industry and the bands and artists they love and support.”
