Poilievre Wants An Inquiry Into Election Interference As Long As No One Investigates China’s Relationship With The Conservative Party. LOL

Pierre Poilievre doesn’t want you to vote for him.

What he wants is for you to vote AGAINST Trudeau.

That’s why he doesn’t want to explain what he’d do if he were in the PMO.

If he did, people wouldn’t vote for him. So slinging shit is all he and his CPC Convoy Party of Canada has.

Call me what you want, but I stand by this tweet from yesterday regarding the controversy of China trying to interfere in our elections:

Yes. Since the EA Inquiry didn’t go too well for PP and the gang, they threw a dead cat on the table to change the subject. I include Robert Fife as very much part of that gang, what with the timing of him posting this on the same day of the EA inquiry report.

China, or any country, interfering in our elections is a bad thing, and we should get to the bottom of it.

NDP to push for ‘national public inquiry into foreign interference

So in one breath, PP says it has to be a public inquiry, not hidden behind closed doors because this is about exposing foreign interference! This is for CANADA! FOR DEMOCRACY!!!

Ahead of the committee on Wednesday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said his party would support an “independent and public” inquiry – so long as all parties agree on who leads the inquiry, and that its work is done in public.

“We can’t simply bury it behind closed doors and have it in secret while Canadians are left in the dark, potentially with another election interfered (with) before the results of the commission come out,” Poilievre told reporters.

That sounds great! Who wouldn’t want to get to the bottom of bad foreign actors meddling in our elections/democracy? Let’s have the broadest inquiry possible! Right?

Oh…

However, the Conservatives are expected to propose limiting the inquiry to allegations of foreign meddling by Beijing in the 2019 and 2021 elections – rather than a broader inquiry into foreign influence and interference more generally.

So Poilievre wants to look at China and ONLY China.

Now, why would that be?

Russia? Who? No, let’s ignore them and any links there might be to the FREEEEEEEDOOOOOM Convoy. (That’s how you have to say it, right? You can’t just say freedom. You have to yell out FREEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOM and then, by law, immediately light a cigarette.)

So, sure! Let’s get it out in the open. NOT hidden behind closed doors. Just as long as we ignore whatever PP wants to ignore!

Russia used state-funded propaganda outlets to whip up support for the ‘Freedom Convoy’ and undermine the Trudeau government.

So some of you might have seen my tweet yesterday and thought I pretty much put the ‘loon’ in lunatic.

Here’s what David Morrison had to say about intel being taken out of context and then debated:

It Plays into the hands of our adversaries, precisely what Gollum and the other CPC MPs are doing here.

(This guy read part of the Christchurch terrorist’s manifesto into Canada’s public record during committee. Nice party, eh?)

Then LPC MP Mark Gerretsen asked who could benefit from this, suggesting that it would be China or other bad actors.

Which is right. Because if Pierre Poilievre cared about foreign countries interfering in our elections and democracy, he’d want to investigate ALL OF IT. Period.

Wanting to keep it narrow shows what his motivation is. This is just a circus to distract from the Emergencies Act Inquiry and Nazis while keeping that CPC faux-rage machine chugging along. He doesn’t give a damn about election interference. He ONLY hands the base the scandal du-jour for them to scream about.

He wants to be the gatekeeper on what is and isn’t investigated based purely on what will benefit him and HIM only.

With Cons, it’s always party over country.
