Well, folks, it is finally the weekend and the action is starting to heat up, along with the weather, thanks to Mother Nature.
Today, I will be taking you along for a golf journey, following around the guys who are at the top, contending for the championship, the big names like yesterday and some guys in between. To be honest with you all, I am most excited to see the lead dog at the moment, Carl Yuan of China, who shot a 68 and 67 on the first two days individually, namely because everyone loves a guy who comes out of nowhere and shocks the world. But obviously, we all want Corey Conners to break the nearly 70-year drought of a Canadian winning the Canadian Open, so stay tuned as the content will continue to come in hot and heavy folks.
Day 3 started with me getting more tee shots, missed putts and some fairway action as I ended up a part of the Fitzpatrick Aberg entourage. I also played around with my iPhone camera features and utilized slo-mo and cinematic modes, observe.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to get footage of Canadian Nick Taylor who is currently having a killer Saturday, shooting an equally killer low score of 63, something yours truly cards through nine holes on a regular basis. However, I got to witness Nick sink a beautiful birdie putt on No. 18, to end his day, and listen in as he spoke to the media after that incredible round has him on top of the leaderboard here at Oakdale.

After Taylor, it was back to hole No. 1, as the top dogs like C.T Pan, Andrew Novak, Yuan, Aaron Rai and, of course, Canadian Conners get their third rounds started here at Oakdale. The rest of the third round is sure to be an electric one as we round into form entering Sunday, when a champion will be crowned.

Before I head home for some much needed rest, aka watch Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final and the UFC PPV tonight, I went back to my favourite hole on the course, the rink, to wait for Canadian Conners (who I watched from holes 14-18, so my Apple Watch steps are through the roof today). Also, I got the see fan favourite, Harry Higgs. once again.

All in all, Day 3 was filled with great weather, good media room food (lol) and some excellent golf. Tomorrow is the last day here at Oakdale and I will have Rookie with me. So you best believe that the content machine of Crier Media will be roaring. See you tomorrow.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
