Report: The Toronto Blue Jays Finally #FreeVladdy As The ‘Junior Era’ Will Begin April 23rd

Apr 22, 2019

Three days ago, the MLB’s YouTube page released a video on just highlights of Vladdy Jr. A rare occurrence for their account to showcase a minor league baseball player. It’s like they knew…

After an unlimited amount of speculation and reports on a specific day from a variety of the industry’s best, it appears Vladdy Jr is getting called up on April 23rd against the Giants. We have kept you in the loop with what news we had been hearing and according to the plugged-in Bob Nightengale of the USA Today, here’s the final answer….maybe:

The Blue Jays are on fire at the moment, sweeping the A’s in Oakland for the first time since ’93, and now have won 4 games in a row. The series on the west coast was a costly one, however, as Matt Shoemaker is now done for the season with a torn ACL, Aaron Sanchez is aligning with a nail issue on his middle finger and shortstop Freddy Galvis may miss a few days after tweaking his knee. Well, once Vladdy Jr shows up for good, everybody will begin to feel a little bit better around the Blue Jays clubhouse.

Vladdy Jr almost forced this call up with his press conference last weekend in Buffalo. When’s the last time a minor-league ballplayer held a press conference about being ready to be called up? We are thinking Vladdy is the first.

We are also thinking this kid is about to take over the league. He’s hit over .400 for almost two years now and is ready to mash against the best the majors have to offer. Regardless if it’s tomorrow or if it’s Friday as per BNS, all Blue Jay fans should be sending an email to the Atlanta Braves office today as Alex Anthopoulos deserves ALL of the credit for scouting and signing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Without his visit down south and spotting Jr when he was 14, none of this is possible.

Celebrate fellas, your team is about to get a whole lot better this week…
