The Buffalo Sabres along with team GM Kevyn Adams have released the following statements.

To honour the legendary play-by-play man here are 5 of his best calls of all time.
Of course we start with the legendary May Day call from April 24, 1993. Where The Sabres eliminate the Bruins with an OT win in Game 4 of the Wales SF.

Rick’s passing is also sad because he retired just when the team started to turn a corner from years of mediocrity and are a team on the cusp of starting something special like there football counterparts the Bills are doing. RIP Rick you will be missed by hockey fans everywhere but especially in Western New York.

Hi, my name is Griff and I'm a complete sports nut. I love to play sports, watch sports and most importantly bet on sports too. If I'm not watching or betting on sports, you can find me on the golf course, between the pipes as your average beer league goaltender. Although sports take up most of my life, I also love spending time with my two dogs, streaming usually a 90's Simpson's or attempting to read more books.
