Congratulations Jeff Doucette.  You hit the nail on the proverbial wife beating head.

I love a redemption story when someone actually realizes they are wrong.  This is not one of those stories.

The Blue Jays said in unison over the past couple of months that Osuna is their closer and they universally looked forward to having him back.  No Bueno with the fans and SUPER NO BUENO with female fans for a very good fucking reason.

He abused a woman.

The redemption part of this story doesn’t exist IMO because:

A) He has pleaded Not Guilty

B) Guilt didn’t matter to the Blue Jays 2 months ago but somehow it does now.

True accountability is the greatest learning experience and provides the humility to move forward.   The Blue Jays seem to get that now and that counts here, especially when it comes to the message they sent with Gregg Zaun last year.

We can cheer for our favorite athletes when they are pitchers, quarterbacks or golfers, but the second they lay their hands on a woman or child out of anger they just become another creepy dick who should be forced to experience the full extent of the consequences involved in their actions.
