It was quite an entertaining weekend at the RBC Canadian Open at St.George this past weekend. Probably the wildest weekend I can remember in recent memory.
At the beginning of the week, the LIV Golf Tour was stealing ALL of the headlines. However, it didn’t take long for the internet to do its thing and kill LIV Golf for their god awful team names. It wasn’t good and I thought it was going to crash and burn before it even started. The broadcast and production quality were pretty good and in my opinion they made strides this weekend and gave people a lot to look forward to.
Also this hilarious moment.

This meant the PGA Tour needed to nail it this weekend and boy did they deliver. The legendary “Rink Hole” was on fire and the big guns showed up in full force. Rory McElroy to be more specific. The PGA needed him to deliver at championship where he was defending his title. On top of Rory basically playing perfect golf this weekend a boatload big names joined him on the top of the leaderboard. A Rory/JT/Finau final pairing was a dream come true. JT and Rory were tied with 2 holes to play when Rory pinned a wedge on shot on 17 for a birdie.

Rory came out on top and in his championship interview took a greasy swipe at Greg Norman reminding everyone he just passed him in wins on the PGA Tour but refused to say his name on the broadcast. Big dick Rory.
Rory McIlroy now has more PGA Tour wins than Greg Norman. He made sure to mention that. #PGA pic.twitter.com/wz69RIFTCl

The PGA Tour owes Rory big time and hopes the US Open is just as exciting. Golf has never been this fun and I am here for it.
