So, Are We Going To Spend Every Saturday Shitting All Over Don Cherry?

I’m not sure what’s more automatic on Saturday nights. Maple Leafs headlining HNICs, or self-righteous woke hipsters going out of their way to wish for Don Cherry’s death.
This Saturday’s ‘Fuck Don Cherry Festival’ happened because he appeared on a Habs podcast to talk about hockey. Not race.

It’s like clockwork. Every weekend self-righteous knobs from across Canada use Ron McLean as a springboard to call Don a racist, old fuck who they had hoped was dead at the time of their tweet.
We got it. You HATE Don for the xenophobic comments he made two years ago during Coaches Corner and your pining for his death.
Every hateful tweet calling Don Cherry a racist is litigious at this point.
No one can speak for Don when it comes to his perspective on racial equality. You can absolutely call his two-year-old comments xenophobic but Don didn’t single out or negatively portray a race. Depending on your race, his comments may have been racist, but that’s subjective.
Webster’s defines Xenophobia as ‘the fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners.
Racism is defined in the broader sense as a ‘belief that racial differences produce the inherent superiority of a particular race.”
That means every single one of you right fighting woke meatheads who think you’re cool by dunking on an 85-year-old man, is guilty of slander and libel.
Don apologized. Don said he should have chosen his words more carefully and didn’t mean to hurt anyone. Don also lost his job and his reputation.
Isn’t that enough? You’re fucking right it is.
You don’t have to like what he said. You don’t even have to like the man, but choosing to show the rest of Twitter how cool you are by stating you’re disappointed Don Cherry is still alive just means you’re a shameless piece of ‘woke’ shit.
Happy Sunday!
