Sounds like the Penguins and Maple Leafs are talking trade

The Toronto Maple Leafs need to find a save when Freddie Andersen is wearing a ball cap on the bench.
Right now, Michael Hutchinson has been given the keys to the backup Buick but he can’t seem to keep it on the road. Winless in all his attempts, and no game with less than 4 goals behind him. Word is, his neck has become a touch sunburnt from all the red light. So now, what?
Could the leafs convince the penguins to take martin marincin?
Valid question, I know, because we assume it would take a lot of convincing as Marincin is horrible. But the Penguins may have no choice, as the injury bug keeps taking big chomps out of their back-end.
The Penguins have two capable backups, Tristan Jarry, 24, and Casey DeSmith, 28, both who the Maple Leafs have interest in, however, the question remains, what will the Pens want in return.
If it’s a mid-round pick, a depth d-man (Marincin), and a goalie prospect (Ian Scott), the Leafs will pull the trigger. If it’s Nic Petan, you have a deal. If it’s Jeremy Bracco, take a lap, Jimmy Rutherford.
The trade winds are swirling now that we are into December, and expect the Leafs to make a move if Michael Hutchinson can’t get into the win column after his next start. And if the wind picks up today or later this week, Hutch’s next start could be in black and gold.
