Goodbye Stan Lee.

It can be said he never reached his prime until the last 25 years, toiling in his dreams and imagination based on Stan’s love of superhero’s and storytelling.

Stan inspired more than movies and multi-billion dollar brands; he inspired an entire generation of comic con heads and captains of industry never to stop being a kid. He made adulting in fantasy worlds acceptable and at 95 was the worlds oldest kid.

He never took himself too seriously, appearing in every movie under the Marvel umbrella and we looked for it religiously.

The last auction I won was a full-size Ironman auto’d and framed poster.  It cost $400 and hangs above my son’s bed.  It’s the best thing he owns according to him.  He called me today to tell me Stan Lee passed away.

“Dad, Stan Lee is dead.”

“I know.”

“Am I ever glad for his movies and comics and that he signed my poster before he died.”

Me too.
