Writing about sports and hosting a podcast, I sometimes forget that I’m speaking about human beings. I’ve said a lot about Haskins. I never attacked the man, but I said a lot of discouraging things about the football player.
Why does it take a tragic event like this to wake me up and remember that athletes are still people?
The part that struck me the most was, Haskins was in Florida because he was working out with Pittsburgh Steelers teammates, getting ready for this upcoming season.
Dwayne Haskins was training in South Florida with other Steelers QBs, RBs and WRs. He was killed this morning in South Florida when he got hit by a vehicle. Tragic….

There will be a time that we will revisit his football career, but his life was more than just a game that little kids play. Haskins would have turned 25 on May 3rd, and it’s safe to say he had a lot of life ahead of him.
Just horrible news about Dwayne Haskins. We all thought of his football career first bc that’s the nature of the business, but he was just 24 and had a whole life ahead of him both on and off the field.

I just want to express my condolences to Deayne’s family, friends, teammates, and fans.
Life goes way too quickly people, and you never know when it’s going to be taken away from you. Enjoy it, love it, and don’t take it for granted.
