Thanks To Digital Door Bells, There Are LOTS Of Cool Videos Of The The Meteor That Made The City Of Edmonton Shit Their Pants This Morning

A meteor from outer space lit up the dark in Edmonton this morning and it freaked everyone out and thanks to RING and Nest doorbells, we got a great look at it.
Adding my video to the pool of people from Edmonton and beyond who have outdoor cameras that caught the meteor this morning. #yeg #meteor #yegmeteor #nest #nestcam pic.twitter.com/ymVftICdDE

It was seen over the skies of Alberta and Saskatchewan but was mainly visible over Edmonton early this AM just before dawn.
Unfortunately for this guy, it missed Edmonton and is believed to have broken up over Saskatchewan so he’s stuck with Edmonton the way it is.
I wish a big meteor would come down and land on Edmonton. A big smoking crater would be a huge improvement over what’s there now.

Meteors skip off or enter the atmosphere all the time and we’ve had some near misses but we’ve never had ‘The Big One’. The movie industry has been teasing us with the idea of what a catastrophic event might look like for years and I gotta think we’re due for one. I just hope it lands in the middle of the Indian ocean or somewhere desolate instead of New York or Edmonton. Right? I can joke about it landing on Buffalo but Jeff Skinner is a healthy scratch tonight a 9 million a year and the Sabres are in fucking JAIL right now. I may not like the team but I’ve got nothing but love for Sabres/Bills fans and I used the word ‘catastrophic’ earlier so I hope it lands in Northern Saskatchewan or somewhere near Mariana’s Trench (it’s not dirty, trust me).
Heads up.
