The San Francisco 49ers suspended their radio colour analyst Tim Ryan after he said Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is skilled at faking handoffs because of his “dark skin colour.”

Yup. He said it.

Tim Ryan responded to his comments following his suspension.

“I regret my choice of words in trying to describe the conditions of the game,” said Ryan in a statement to the Chronicle. “Lamar Jackson is an MVP-caliber player and I respect him greatly. I want to sincerely apologize to him and anyone else I offended.”

Jesus Christ! Will we ever learn! How many times will someone say something racist or dumb on radio or TV. Don Cherry, Jess Allen and now Tim Ryan. I am a bit rattled he is only being suspended for one game by the team. Take the rest of the season off buddy. Good luck to Tim next time he has to walk into the 49ers locker room. I am sure most of the players in that room did not appreciate his comments.
