The Great Canadian Sellout: Canadian Politicians and Pundits Are Turning Into MAGA Treason Weasels…
A disturbing trend has emerged among specific Canadian political figures and media personalities in recent months. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, businessman Kevin O’Leary, and psychologist Jordan Peterson have prioritized their personal interests over Canada’s sovereignty. Their willingness to cozy up to incoming US President Donald Trump and his administration raises serious questions about loyalty and potentially even treason.

Danielle Smith’s Mar-a-Lago Deception
Premier Smith recently claimed she would be taking a family vacation from January 7 to 17. However, it was revealed that she spent time at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate from January 12 to 13, meeting with the president-elect and his allies. This deception is troubling enough, but her refusal to condemn Trump’s threats of using “economic force” against Canada is even more concerning.
.@AbDanielleSmith If on “private vacation” you spend time with Kevin O’Leary, who needs government concessions to do business in Alberta, and with Trump, who wants to annex Canada, shouldn’t your meetings be documented and witnessed by #abgov officials? What’s going on?#ableg https://t.co/ei30zi13KD

While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has firmly stated that there’s “not a snowball’s chance in hell” of Canada becoming the 51st state, Smith has remained conspicuously silent on Trump’s aggressive rhetoric. Instead, she has emphasized the “friendly and constructive” nature of her conversations with Trump, focusing solely on energy exports and job creation.
It’s not a stretch to wonder if Smith is positioning Alberta for a potential exit from Canada in favor of US statehood. Her frequent appearances on Fox News and unwavering support for Trump’s agenda suggest a dangerous alignment with foreign interests.
Alberta’s Trump Affinity
Smith’s actions become even more alarming when considering Trump’s popularity in Alberta. A recent poll showed that 29% of Albertans viewed Trump’s previous presidency as “very good” or “good” for Canada, the highest percentage of any province. This pro-Trump sentiment and longstanding frustrations towards Ottawa create a volatile political environment. Alberta shares the distinction of being the least educated province in Canada and the most religious. It’s a hotbed for evangelical extremism and has been for some time. The UCP government is a carbon copy of Evngelicaly driven MAGA in Canada, and the hatred “‘Bertans” have for Trudeau/the rest of the country surpasses common sense. If there’s a province with a population and a governing party that would make a break to be the 51st state, Alberta is it. Alberta has been inundated with FB/X/Social Media ads selling the benefit of joining MAGAmerica with the support of Russian/Chinese interests who’d like to see Canada get torn apart from the inside, and Dannielle Smith is more than happy to help if it lines her pockets and the pockets of her oil-rich evangelical donors and supporters.
Guess Danielle is making preparations to help Trump annex Alberta. One province at a time, right?

Kevin O’Leary: Canada’s Wannabe Annexation Advocate
Meanwhile, businessman Kevin O’Leary has taken his support for Trump to extreme levels. He advocates for an “economic union” between the US and Canada and suggests erasing the border. O’Leary’s claims that “at least half of Canadians are interested” in such a merger are blatantly false—polls show only 6-13% of Canadians support the idea.
O’Leary’s credibility in Canadian politics is already questionable. His 2017 Conservative Party leadership bid garnered a mere 1% of the vote. Add to this his involvement in a fatal 2019 boating accident and repeated statements about how much he hates this country instead, and it’s clear why many Canadians view his sudden push for annexation with deep suspicion. Kevin O’Leary is a liar who has the values of a serial killer and shows no empathy of any kind unless it’s in his best interest to do so. Despite what he says, Canada fucking HATES Kevin O’Leary and has for some time, which is why he left. Selling out Canada is as much of a resentment play for O’Leary as it is a future financial opportunity for our worst Canadian export since Jordan Peterson.
Speaking of which…
Jordan Peterson: From Canadian Psychologist to MAGA Mouthpiece
Completing this troubling circle of “Treason Weasels” is Jordan Peterson, the controversial psychologist who recently announced his move to the United States. Peterson’s increasingly extreme right-wing views and apparent embrace of MAGA ideology have alienated many of his former supporters.

Even more concerning are Prime Minister Trudeau’s allegations that Peterson may be receiving funding from Russian state media to “amplify messages that destabilize democracies.” While Peterson denies these claims and is considering legal action, the accusation adds another layer of complexity to his perceived betrayal of Canadian values.
Under oath, Trudeau says Russia (RT) is funding disgraced Psychologist Jordan Peterson.

Aside from Peterson’s extraordinarily dark and deranged religious sentiment. Aside from his 3 months stay in a Russian “rehab” facility a few years ago and aside from his move to the US because of his extreme hatred for Canada, he’s also using his influence (whether Russian-funded or not) to tear down Canadian democratic values on behalf of the incoming Trump administration.
Is This Treason?
The actions of Smith, O’Leary, and Peterson raise a crucial question: do their behaviors constitute treason? Let’s examine the legal definition:
According to the Criminal Code of Canada, treason includes:
“(a) uses force or violence to overthrow the government of Canada or a province;
(b) without lawful authority, communicates or makes available to an agent of a state other than Canada military or scientific information or any sketch, plan, model, article, note, or document of a military or scientific character that he knows or ought to know may be used by that state for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or defense of Canada.”
While Smith’s actions may not meet the strict legal definition of treason, her clandestine meetings with a foreign leader who has explicitly threatened Canada’s sovereignty are deeply troubling. As a sitting premier, her apparent eagerness to align herself with an American administration seeking to undermine Canada’s independence is, at best, a betrayal of her oath of office and the people who put her there.
A Call for Accountability
As Canadians, we must demand transparency and accountability from elected officials and public figures. Danielle Smith’s secret Mar-a-Lago rendezvous, Kevin O’Leary’s misguided annexation fantasies, and Jordan Peterson’s potential foreign influence campaign all threaten Canadian sovereignty and democratic values.
It’s time for these individuals to answer for their actions and clarify their true loyalties. Canada’s future as an independent nation may depend on it.
