Kareem is so sick of Kyrie Irving’s anti-vax shit, he told Rolling Stone that every unvaccinated player or employee in the NBA should be fucken fired.

CNN:“The NBA should insist that all players and staff are vaccinated or remove them from the team,” said Abdul-Jabbar.
“There is no room for players who are willing to risk the health and lives of their teammates, the staff, and the fans simply because they are unable to grasp the seriousness of the situation or do the necessary research.”
Abdul-Jabbar has been a vocal advocate for getting the Covid-19 vaccine. The NBA great received his vaccine on camera and appeared in an NBA public service announcement encouraging others to get vaccinated.
The NBA does not require players to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to play. However, referees and other staff who work closely with players are required to be fully vaccinated.

Did you read it properly?  That goes for every single professional athlete who seems to think their personal selfishness outweighs the greater good and the health and safety of their teammates because they do not/will not get it.

Kareem makes it sound so easy because it is that easy.  If these meatheads can take part in rookie parties where they eat a marshmallow out of a cup that was dropped there out of another rookie’s butthole, they shouldn’t be afraid of what’s in the vaccine.

If Kyrie, Josh Archibald, Todd Bertuzzi, Andrew Wiggins, and other pro athletes say they have a team-first mentality, not getting vaccinated when the rest of the team is vaccinated isn’t a team-first mentality.  It’s a deliberately selfish mentality, not conducive to team pro sports.  I know that’s a lot of ‘mentalities’ but this is what Kareem is saying.

I spoke to a current NHL’r last week who said players have to stay neutral, publicly but privately, most vaxxed players don’t want to play with a player who’s not vaccinated.  He said it’s not just because they aren’t vaccinated either.  He said it says a lot about the player and the kind of team guy he is or, in this case, isn’t.

I said it in the podcast today but you can’t care about what you can’t control so fuck these unvaccinated babies.  Who gives a shit if Andrew Ever sets foot in Canada again?  I don’t.  I also don’t care if Josh Archibald or Kyrie Irving ever play again.  It has zero effect on my life, either way.

It’s NOT a shame these babies might not play.  It’s a shame seniors in LTC are still sitting in their own piss in Ontario’s for-profit long-term care homes being cared for by unvaccinated, cheap migrant workers.  That’s a real problem.
