Guys like Michael Melling are hilarious until they get caught mistreating people.
Then they take a “leave of absence.”
Richard Gray, the guy replacing sad, confused Mikey, is the other guy Bell uses to give broadcasters the gas pedal.
This should work out well. Nothing like a leave of absence to hide from the accountability of your decision-making while sliding next quarter’s firings over to the other Bell henchman.
It screams transparency, but not really.

In all honesty, Bell most likely found out Melling was a way bigger dick than the dick they thought they were paying.
Investigations do that, assuming they are paying for this third-party investigation which they never really do. It’s only a “Third Party” in theory. Like the NFL’s Third Party’s 6-game suspension of Deshaun Watson, it’s bullshit. That’s not to say Michael Melling’s douchebaggery wasn’t revealed. Bell may have put Mikey in the cooler, OR Mike might be struggling with the idea that Wendy’s Canada and Dove, Bell employees, along with millions of Canadians, hate him.
Either way, Mike isn’t coming to work for a while.
