The MLB Hands Down Severe Punishments To The Houston Astros For Involvement In Sign Stealing Scandal

Jan 13, 2020

Here is what we know for sure, The Houston Astros cheated their asses off by banging garbage cans and using video to steal signs. They did it in the World Series winning season and did it this year as well.

The MLB caught wind of the cheating based off a complaint by Yankees’ slugger Aaron Judge after they lost in the ALCS.

The MLB conducted a full investigation and punishments came out 30 minutes ago!

Major League Baseball has handed down one of the harshest punishment of all time!

“I find that the conduct of the Astros, and its senior baseball operations executives, merits significant discipline,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in his ruling.

Here is what was handed down.

One-year suspension for general manager Jeff Luhnow.
One-year suspension for manager A.J. Hinch.
The loss of first- and second-round draft picks in both 2020 and 2021.
A $5 million fine.
The placement of former Astros assistant GM Brandon Taubman on baseball’s ineligible list.

The suspensions lead to Astros owner Jim Crane to fire Jeff Luhnow and A.J Hinch.

Alex Cora who is the manager for the Boston Red Sox and was the bench coach for the Astros during this entire scandal is most likely to face discipline as well.

The one thing I don’t understand.

Pete Rose gets banned for life for gambling on baseball but AJ Hinch and Jeff Luhnow get only a year suspension for blatantly cheating to the result of a World Series Championship, AND they get to keep the championship!

LET PETE ROSE IN DAMN HALL OF FAME! IT’S NOT A HALL OF FAME IF YOU DON’T HAVE YOUR HITS LEADER IN IT!

And he also did this, at an All Star Game.

Ok I’m done now.
