Speculation about Siakam being traded to the Pacers has been circulating for a while, and Indiana has now made the move to acquire Haliburton, a standout two-way player. This is a significant boost for the Pacers, who have faced challenges due to their lack of size and have struggled against teams with longer lineups. However, the trade comes with a notable downside as Indiana has surrendered a substantial package for a 6’8″ Power Forward, essentially securing Siakam for around 40 regular-season games and the playoffs before he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
Toronto will receive two first-round draft picks and a piece from the New Orleans Pelicans.
