Daniel Briere’s shithead kid, Carson Briere, is the most hated 23-year-old in North America, and it’s not going to get any better after Sydney (@_Legless_Wonder), the Chair’s owner, released this statement.

Beautiful. She’s not the victim here. Carson Briere is, and she JUST did that to him by taking the victimless high road.
What nerve.
What class and selflessness.
What a BADASS.
Sydney was using the bathroom, which was NOT WC accessible at a bar in Erie when Carson Briere (son of Flyers GM Daniel Briere sent the Chair down the stairs.
Instead of demanding blood, Sydney demanded any money raised should go to people who need it because her Chair is fine and she’s the Alpha chumps like Brier think they are.
Throwing a (legless) disabled person’s wheelchair down the stairs while they are peeing isn’t badass. Forgiving and helping others is very badass, and Sydney is the kind of Alpha we could all learn from.
For the record, Carson has apologized and taken “full responsibility” and has the support of Mercyhurst University, where he’s a standout for the Varsity Men’s hockey team (Briere was booted from ASU’s hockey team for being THAT GUY).
Mercyhurst officials say they hope Carson learns from his mistake, as the rest of us should be afforded the same opportunity.
Carson’s Dad, Daniel, said he was disgusted and that those actions were not “Briere Family Values.”
The rest of the world wants Carson to burn in hell.
When the victim of a crime like this says, “Meh, I’m good – let’s give some money to people who need it,” and the perpetrator is accountable for his actions, why do we need to push for more?
I am not advocating for the little shit, but isn’t this between the Brieres and Sydney? Is Briere’s full-fledged apology and submission to the process not good enough for the rest of us? Sydney was the target of the crime; she now owns the Briere’s and Carson’s souls. Is that not enough? Or should we be mass-emailing Mercyhurst and spamming the Philadelphia Flyers executive team with hate mail about something that has nothing to do with them?
I love social justice a little, and I’m onside with the LITERAL definition of the word “woke” (to be actively aware of social/racial injustice), but seriously, how bored do you have to be to send a series of emails to the GM of the Flyers about how he should resign because his kid was an asshole. Or complaints to Mercyhurst’s president?
Cowards love consequences, especially when we have no skin in the game.
Carson is shit and deserves the natural consequences of his actions. He also is allowed to learn from this and be a better person. This is Sydney’s bag, and she now owns the Briere’s and the narrative, and that’s where we should spend our time—celebrating and promoting Sydney’s courage to forgive and be better than all of it.
