There’s Drunk, then there’s Eddie Belfour in Bowling Green Drunk. Jesus, dude.

Jan 28, 2020

Passionate drinker and former Leaf goaler, Ed Belfour was arrested last night in Bowling Green for mischief and partying way too hard.  Again.

Again, I use the term ‘passionate drinker’ because Eddie is the only one who knows if getting this drunk works for him:

Source: Belfour is accused of damaging property at the hotel. When police arrived, Belfour was located laying on the floor and clutching a curtain rod that had been ripped out of the wall.

Police said Belfour had slow, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and could barely stand up.

An employee at the hotel stated Belfour had attempted to fight a manager in the bar and was hitting a glass window downstairs in anger.

Belfour played in the NHL for multiple teams, including the Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers. Belfour retired from the NHL in 2007 and was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.

I’d say this is a red flag of sorts.  Like going for a walk off the trail, seeing less and less familiar shit as you go but you just keep going anyway.

Booze is fucking funny.  It’s literally (other than bath salts) the only drug that makes you violent when you have too much of it.

Especially when you start acting like this in public.

I really don’t give a shit as long as Eddie doesn’t so ‘passionate drinker’ is a terrific moniker for the man.

If he tries to fight this he might be able to explain trying to fight the manager, banging glass and slurred speech.  It’s ‘laying on the floor clutching a curtain rod’ freshly torn out of the wall that’s gonna be a tough one.
