THNO Saturday Night Starts For Sunday

Ryan Hank Oct 23, 2022

I’m ecstatic for Sunday, are you ecstatic for Sunday? Do you know what ecstatic means? It means very excited with fewer letters. Week 7 has a lot going for itself which hopefully ends up as the complete opposite of Week 6 (devil week).

CMC was traded to the 49ers and he’s starting so even if he knows only one page of the playbook, he’ll go off for 20 points. Elijah Moore wants out of New York even though the Jets might be good now? What about my man Mike Gesicki, where’s he going? Oh, I can’t wait to see how this all shakes out.

Speaking of CMC, he clearly watches THNO:

Did you all hear Russell Wilson will be out this week versus the Jets? Brett Rypien will start and Sleeper has him with 13 fantasy points. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he hands the ball off 30 times and he finishes with 10 or less.

The Ravens are also reeling and will have a running back by committee approach with J.K. Dobbins back on the shelf. Kenyan Drake and Gus Edwards are the popular options to start but aside from a crazy resurgence, don’t expect elite numbers from either.

Tyler Lockett will be ruled active this week and the real question is does he get hit after the catch? No. No he doesn’t.

But enough about what you already know, let’s get into the sneaky starts we DIDN’T cover on our show this week and maybe a few we did:

TED – Tyquan Thornton blew up last week for a double score and 17 fantasy points. He’s emerging as a threat for New England and as Ted said on Tuesday, Bill would love a new WR to step up. Maybe this week is when we take notice?

CHRIS – Gerald Everett is primed to feast against the Seahawks this week. It’s always a good day when you play against the team giving up the most PPR points to tight ends. The Chargers can’t rely on their kicker to win for them this week so the air attack will need to be going.

RYAN – Evan Engram gets a shot against his old team the Giants and with 11/16 catches in the last two weeks and just over 100 yards, he might just be in line to get his first TD of the season with the Jags. Probably in the second quarter because that’s when tight ends score. Fact.

STEVE – Alec Pierce of Colts fame is trending up, up, up. His snap counts are continually increasing, his average yardage per game is just shy of 69 yards and he’s scoring. The matchup against the Titans won’t be easy but Matty Ice might have some tricks up his sleeves, or at least a call sheet.

BONUS: Pat Freiermuth is out of concussion protocol and “should” play on Sunday Night Football. The Steelers really showcase their tight ends in primetime and Freiermuth has become a popular add in the last calendar year. Sleeper has him with five points but I’m saying a score and 40 yards. Put me down for 10 points.

I co-host two of quite possibly the greatest live shows in the media today. PP1 Podcast and THNO (That Helps No One! FantasyCast) are where you can find my antics. I have a great moustache, a hairy six-pack and questionable takes on pretty much everything.
