And Just like that Tiger is relevant again. If Relevancy meant winning a tournament, he’s not, but getting the nod for the Ryder Cup is good enough for me.
Watching Eldrick hobble around the course with the BS title of Co-captain sucked for Tiger fans. Maybe it’s what Tiger’s dominance means to me, but having Woods be competitive in a Ryder Cup is just another brick in the hooker filled wall as Tiger turns the page and gets back on the Perkins waitress of life.
This wasn’t an emotional or sentimental pick either. Tiger is 9th in scoring, 11th in RC rankings finishing with 5 top tens in his shortened season. You can’t buy ‘compete,’ and Tiger is the greatest pure competitor in the history of golf. The fact he’s not embarrassing himself every week makes this a lights out, no brainer.
Poor Bryson Dechambeau. The baby loudmouth got picked cuz he can’t stop winning but the pic of him getting shut out of the Phil, Tiger ‘Bro Hug’ works for me.
