TIME TO GROW UP! Liberal Minister Calls Out Conservative Mp’s Sexist Bullshit

Jason Pugh Mar 30, 2023

Yes. I call them the CPC Convoy Party of Canada.

I’m not going to stop either. Not when that party supported the occupation and terrorizing of Ottawa.

Not when it supported the blockades that cost our economy BILLIONS!

Transport Canada estimates as much as $3.9 billion in trade activity was halted because of border blockades across the country related to protests against COVID-19 restrictions last winter, a public inquiry heard Wednesday.

Is it childish of me? Sure. Am I calling them names? Ok. One could argue the former but not so much the latter. I’d say calling them the Convoy Party of Canada is pretty accurate because that’s what they fucking are.

Poilievre was, after all, handing out doughnuts to the gang that was terrorizing the citizens of Ottawa and whose stated goal was to remove our duly elected government.

No biggie. It was only BILLIONS lost. Nothing outrageous there! (Now hotel rooms for the Queen’s funeral, on the other hand…)

This image should forever hang around Poilievre’s neck like a stinking albatross.

The thing is, I am not a Member of Parliament. I’m not in the House of Commons. I’m just some guy on Twitter.

However, when it comes to our elected officials, is it too much to ask that they, you know, act like adults?

After the Question Period had ended, I had CPAC playing in the background (probably to the detriment of my mental well-being, but that’s another issue altogether…) and heard Liberal Minister Patty Hajdu rise on the point of order to say this:

I had missed that while listening to QP, so I went back and caught this video CPC MP Jasraj Singh Hallan:

So instead of calling Minister Freeland by her proper title, he chose to call her a childish name. (Because, of course he did. That’s PP’s CPC for you!)

Minister Hutching’s response:

So I will let Minister Hajdu’s comments speak for her and other female MPs.

I just want to say that it shouldn’t be too much to ask our elected officials to show some damn respect.

The speaker had to (and constantly has to) remind Members of Parliament not to call each other names.

They DO know that they’re adults, right?

These people are supposed to be severe enough to WRITE OUR LAWS yet acting like adults and showing a minimal amount of respect for their colleagues is something we have to ASK them to do?

It would be nice if Speaker of the House, Anthony Rota, would start naming the offending members and kicking them TF OUT of the house!

(HEY. SPEAKER ROTA. Can you…can you start DOING YOUR FUCKING JOB, please thank you?!)

I used to think that under Harper, with Andrew Scheer as Speaker of the House, the HoC / Question Period was an absolute shit show.

Years later, I thought it “couldn’t get worse” with Scheer leading the Conservative Party of Canada!

Then surely it “couldn’t get worse” when Erin O’Toole (who hired Ontario Proud’s Jeff Ballingall to run his leadership campaign) was the leader of the CPC! Surely!

Well, now we’ve all seen that it could get worse.

Way worse with Pierre Poilievre as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Plus, they’re saying things like “go woke, go broke” as if they’re a bunch of edge lords from 4Chan. Or even worse, the Republican Party.

This is the CPC. The party that wants to form a government. Run by the Leader of His Majesty’s LOYAL Opposition. You know, the guy who claims not to use his official work email like all other MPs and is so incompetent he couldn’t manage an RSVP to the POTUS gala dinner.

Well. Maybe I am expecting too much from the party that refused to kick out Michael Cooper after he read part of the Christchurch terrorist’s manifesto into Canada’s public record during a committee meeting:

Canadian politician reads accused Christchurch mosque shooter’s manifesto at a public hearing

From the party whose leader used the MGTOW (Men Go Their Way) hashtag on his youtube channel for YEARS:

Poilievre faces calls to apologize, explain misogynist YouTube tags

Or for the party whose leader refused to kick out members of his caucus after meeting with far-right (Nazi) Christine Anderson. (Even after issuing a statement saying her views are vile.):

Three Conservative MPs who met with far-right German politicians will stay in the caucus

When it comes to Pierre Poilievre’s CPC Convoy Party of Canada, they have smears, silly slogans, and sexism.

Just no substance or solutions.
