Today’s Sun Newspaper cartoon mocking the Jewish leader of war-torn Ukraine as a thief might be shocking, but you shouldn’t be overly surprised. I’m not.

Newspaper cartoonists draw running narratives. I don’t know Gary Varvel, Michael DeAdder, or Theo Moudakis, but they are paid a lot to riff on politics with cartoon narratives. But this narrative has some nuances that are based on racist conspiracy theories and support Russian-driven anti-semitic talking points.

I’m pretty sure that’s offside in the pro cartoon leagues, and I’d LOVE to talk to Theo or Michael about it to get their reaction.

To understand WHY the SUN would further a foreign racist conspiracy narrative about Zelensky being a Jewish thief, warring against Russia strictly for money, you need to look at the names in the banner at the top of the actual newspaper…

Post Media is owned by a NJ hedge fund (Chatham Asset Management) that owns many RW news outlets in the United States. In Reality, The Sun and National Post are MAGA-controlled/MAGA-funded, and they’ve managed to turn every Post Media outlet into a chainsaw of propaganda masquerading as a news outlet because they used to be one. Their Job is to turn Canada into a pot of boiled frogs stewed in authoritarian hate, hoping we don’t notice that they’re purveyors of fascist anti-democratic narratives on behalf of neo-con culture and #MapleMAGA.

Adrienne knows who she works for, and it certainly isn’t the readers of The SUN.  She was installed, with NO journalism experience, as the Editor in Chief for one reason: She’s a Conservative Loyalist who will do as she’s told.

She spent a couple of years as Rob Ford’s press secretary. James Wallace moved out of the way for her so she could continue to do Doug Ford’s messaging when he left to head up Doug Ford’s campaign for Premier. She’s more than a loyalist. She’s a super loyalist of the Ford family, so she was the perfect choice to take over Doug’s Personal Propaganda arm.

They are owned By Chatham Asset Management (Post Media’s parent company) in America. They hold a BUNCH of Trump secrets and a massive media network to attack MAGA (Maple Maga) enemies. Chatham’s tendril into Canada is Post Media (The Sun, National Post), and they’re a tight group of old white fuckers who use the “NEWS” banner to peddle information, disinformation, to make themselves and their culture friends rich, protecting them from their acts and facts that might hurt their relationships. They’ve been at it for years and exclusively parrot news with a Neo-Con tilt or ‘torque.”

Former PM and Fascist terror dick PM Stephen Harper opened the door to foreign print ownership for this very reason. He knew ten years ago his kind of dark politics was dead and needed a bigger boat of neo-con assholes to ruin Canada for Canadians. In the same way, MAGA and the GOP narrative pretended the Big Lie was legit through FOX News, Breitbart, and other fake news outlets gaslit a nation; Harper needed to curate a media network that worked exclusively for conservative groups, brands, and causes.
