

Do you really need an article to tell you why bacon is awesome?
It’s bacon.
That’s why it’s awesome.
Think about it. It’s easy to cook. It’s full of flavour. You can save the grease to cook other delicious things. It’s versatile.
Let’s break that down a little more.
The flavour of bacon is hard to pinpoint. It’s just…bacony. It’s a distinct enough flavour, that other things can be bacon-flavoured. Like maple syrup or hot sauce or whiskey or ice cream.
There are plenty of wonderful foods that can be cooked post-bacon, to impart some of that delectable smokiness. Eggs, vegetables, French toast…it’s your brunch world, we’re just living in it.
Probably the best thing about bacon? The versatility. Bake it, or cook it on a stove. You can toss it on the barbeque, and eat bacon strips with any side you can think of. Or, you can cut it up, and put it on top of a salad. Or mix it into a pasta. You can make a bacon crumble, and add it to omelettes, or sundaes, or eat it out of the bowl with your hands.
No matter how you do it, bacon is king. Always.
