Tucker Carlson’s “Religious Dictatorships Are Cool” tour stops in Moscow this week after spending last week in Alberta.

He was paid millions for two speaking engagements where roughly 10k religious extremists sat and enjoyed an evening with a white supremacist whose family gets paid millions by Hungary, Russia, and now Alberta to convince everyone else that theocratic dictatorships are what we need – we don’t know it yet.

Tucker Carlson spotted again in Moscow. He tells an Izvestia reporter he had read lots about Russia, so he "wanted to talk to people, look around, and see how it's doing… and it's doing very well."

It says the undercurrent of desire Danielle Smith has to turn Alberta into a theocratic province is VERY real. That idea dovetails nicely with her initiative to strip trans kids and families of fundamental human rights and, last week, ROBOCALLS to ban abortion in the province.

Tucker is a weapon of alt-right MAGA PR. That’s what he gets paid for. To popularize and “wash” authoritarian talking points into bite-size, digestible information. Putin and Smith want access to his audience. They need popular support for their hateful desire to manipulate their subjects into believing that authoritarianism is good for them under the bullshit, a well-crafted disguise of “freedom” (to embrace theocratic hate and governance).

Putin is LOVED by Christian Nationalists. Putin describes his invasion of Ukraine – rape, torture, and genocide of Ukrainians – as a “Christian Holy War,” and Maga/#MapleMAGA laps that shit up.

That’s why Alberta isn’t allowed to pick Prime Ministers. Our founders knew they’d fuck it up eventually.
