Twitter went down all day yesterday because Elon didn’t pay his Amazon bill, and July 1 was Twitter’s service cut-off date/contract lapse, so Bezos turned off Twitter’s functionality. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. It’s called a breach of contract. That breach of contract throttled users, and emergency services, across North America yesterday after Elon forced engineers to force “Rate Limit, Exceeded” labels into your timeline anytime you hit refresh or tried to scroll. ALLLL DAAAYY.

Let’s consult with REAL engineers: data scraping doesn’t throttle usage – not paying your BILLION DOLLAR hosting bill does.

Twitter went down at 9 am PST. The exact time and date AWS said they would turn off Twitter’s purpose and functionality, which they did. Elon then gave a bullshit ‘usage cap’ excuse, which defeats the ENTIRE purpose of having a social media platform, and probably wasn’t counting on experts or people in the web hosting business to push back.

Twitter’s outage had nothing to do with “data scraping.” Elon didn’t pay his Amazon bill because he’s a stiff, not a genius.

Yeah. None of what Elon said is true/holds water in the tech community, and you’d think “Mr. Tech” would be smart enough not to offer a red herring excuse in a world full of programmers and tech people who know he’s FULL OF SHIT.

I’m pretty confident Geniuses pay their bills. I’m also reasonably sure Elon Musk is not a genius. I think he’s an angry Incel who used other people’s money and intellectual property to stand on their shoulders to call himself tall. He’s proving it by failing spectacularly at everything from hiding kill counts from “autonomous Teslas” to wiping out revenue, users, and 35 Billion in the valuation of an app that now doesn’t work, and his excuse?”

I don’t know much about technology, but I know the woke mob doesn’t keep Elon’s books/pay Twitter’s bills. I also know they don’t work for him in advanced programming at Twitter, so I’m guessing EVERY OTHER TECH PERSON IN THE WORLD is correct, and Elon’s full of shit and not the super genius you think he is. Twitter is Elon’s Waterloo, and I love nothing more than watching hubris eat shit over and over and over again.
