Unlimited Love: Red Hot Chili Peppers Release First Song With John Frusciante In 16 Years

Red Hot Chili Peppers are back! Now I know what you’re thinking, their last two albums were mediocre at best. This time feels and sounds different. Why do you ask? Their first single Black Summer” also marks the band’s first song with John Frusciante in 16 years. The track leads the band’s new album, Unlimited Love, which is produced by Rick Rubin.
Rick fucking Rubin. Pretty sure anything that man touches turns to gold, so to say I am stoked for this album is an understatement. In my humble opinion the last good album RHCP had was Stadium Arcadium, which was the last one John was on. His silky California guitar sound is a huge part of the signature sound of the peppers.
The featured track has been met with some criticism though. Kiedis’s voice (shocker) has an accent that can perhaps be best described as part leprechaun-Irish, part pirate, and part Shanty. I totally hear it and the tweets are hilarious.

I only hope Anthony Kiedis sings the rest of the old peppers tunes with his new Irish accent

Hahaha, I love the internet. I am not complaining, sure he might sound like the Lucky Charms Leprechaun but I am just grateful for new Chili Peppers. They are also doing a stadium tour in the summer, check your local stadium for details.
