The Jays spotted the Orioles to a 5 run lead before beating the shit out of them with a 6th run 9th in a 10-7 win, but Alek Manoah’s enormous nuts were the real story.

After giving up back to back dongs, Manoah plunked an O’s batter and the benches cleared.

Manoah ended up getting tossed because the Umpires are fucking morons but who cares.  Alek Manoah showed the world he doesn’t give a shit about the rookie tag.  He’s here to play major league baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays and he’s OLD, SCHOOL.

He’s not scared of an 11 year vet and he’s pissed after getting tagged for a couple of home runs.  Baseball 101 says you hit the next guy and while some rookies would take it on the chin and keep throwing.  Not Manoah.  He charged a 95 mph heater and the next guy with impunity.  He didn’t shrivel in the moment or ask to be pulled.  He hammered the next guy up in the ribs.

THAT’S why I love this kid.  He plays the game and plays it like he’s been in the league for years and stick up for himself.

There’s no way to draw a direct line from his ejection (still bullshit) to their come from behind sewering of the Orioles but I’ll be acting like it was.
