Last night a massive transformer at a Con Ed facility exploded in Queens and it lasted for a couple of hours. The explosion lasted long enough for Evangelical Christians everywhere to run into the streets asking God not to forget them if this was the rapture.
NYC 911 operators fielded thousands of calls last night including calls from people who thought aliens had finally landed in the megacity to eat everyone and steal our natural resources.
You might as well prep for it I guess. I’m a firm believer that we’re not alone in this universe and it’s naive to think we’re the only colony of people/life forms in the galaxy capable of space exploration. Having said that, we don’t know if these aliens have bad intentions so I welcome our galactic visitors should they pay us a visit, unless they steal our women and children or water to feed others back home.
